Social Lights
The Social Lights group is open to anyone who is “socially singular” and wants to meet and interact socially with people. By using “socially singular” we hope to include those persons who are married but lacking a social life due to illness, infirmity, or incapacity of their partner.
The Social Lights usually meet two times a month to eat and socialize. One is a Dine Out and the other is a Pot Luck with a short business meeting and some kind of program or speaker.
The group also enjoys making donations of money and gifts to the church, our youth and teens, and other worthwhile organizations that are in need.
Social Lights happens to be the third name for this group. About 10 years ago a few center members, all of whom were all single, got together to form a social group and called it “FLIRT.” The name was an acronym in which “F” stood for Fun – fun is what this group continues to do in spite of all the name changes.
Don’t be shy, join us and have some fun!
