Dr. Maxine Kaye

Raised in Religious Science, and completing her 29th year as a Religious Science International Minister, Dr. Maxine pastored the Los Altos Church of Religious Science for over 13 years and her first congregation, the Contra Costa Church of Religious Science, for 8 years. Between the two congregations, she earned a Humanities degree at UC Berkeley, focusing on Ancient Greek civilization.

Devoted to our teaching, Dr. Maxine has served on the RSI Board of Education (primarily as Practitioner Chair and Chaplain Minister Sponsor) and on the RSI Board of Directors, for which she continues to chair the RSI Ministers Regional Meetings Committee. Dr. Maxine is a popular teacher, speaker, and seminar leader, known for her Conscious Couples work, as well as workshops and facilitation for churches and communities.

Agreeing with Dr. Ernest Holmes that we should take what we are doing seriously but not take ourselves too seriously while we are doing it, she believes that everything is sacred, and nothing is serious.

Dr. Maxine will be leading our Prayer Ministry as well as assisting Rev. Joe in many areas throughout the church. As she is new to the desert and our church, please take a moment to introduce yourself – you’ll be glad you did!
